Fill feeder at the top of the clear container

Unscrew the stand assembly from the feeder tube

Slide the stand assembly out of the base of the feeder tube

Assembling your feeder
1.
Align the triangle nut near the top of the assembly with the triangular opening in the base of the feeder tube (2)
2.
Slide the stand assembly into the base of the feeder tube
3.
Screw the stand assembly into the base of the feeder
4.
Replace the wire mesh shroud
5.
Hook the hanger
6.
Lower the Negative Grip tube
Adjusting the closing mechanism
Weight Adjustable for selective feeding
The patented adjustable spring mechanism controls how much weight the metal shroud will support, allowing the birds to feed. Any additional weight will activate the closing mechanism. Use the feeder at the factory setting, red nut on grey line - before making any adjustments
To increase the adjustment setting, rotate the transparent cartridge clockwise. The red line will move down from the previous setting. This increases the weight required to close access to the food.
To decrease the adjustment setting, turn the cartridge counter clockwise. The red line will move up from the previous setting. This decreases the weight required to close access to the seed.
